Striped cotton seersucker, a squared boatneck, and a tiered, ruffled skirt that moves like it has somewhere to be - this dress does a lot without ever feeling fussy. The hem is finished with a row of domed rivets (a small, unexpected detail that reads as very on-purpose), and the back dips low with a zipper closure that makes it feel a little more special than your average daytime dress. Side pockets included, because a dress this good should still be practical.
