About
Bonita Bodega is a cozy, modern general store where everything is well made, everything from small businesses, everything chosen with care. Tucked into the heart of Portland’s historic Ladd’s Addition and inspired by my Peruvian heritage and visits to neighborhood bodegas in Lima, Peru, the shop was created to offer thoughtful goods, everyday essentials, and small treasures that bring warmth, color, and a sense of story into daily life.
At Bonita Bodega, we believe that surrounding ourselves with beautiful, well‑made things is a quiet act of joy. Our shelves hold a rotating mix of home décor, kitchen and tabletop pieces, apothecary, stationery, kids’ goods, accessories, and a small selection of apparel sourced from independent makers, women‑owned brands, and Latinx artisans from near and far.
Portland’s creative energy and community‑minded culture inspire everything we do, and we hope the shop feels like a welcoming, lived‑in space where you can stop by to slow down, browse, and feel at home. Thank you for supporting this little corner of the neighborhood, we can’t wait to welcome you in!

Saturday 9/26/26 1pm-4pm Zine Launch Event! Ribbons: antichocolate by ashley russell
RIBBONS is a new zine created by writer and baker Ashley Russell, built from the outtakes and honorable mentions of her cookbook What’s Cooking Good Looking. The premier issue, ANTICHOCOLATE, explores non‑chocolate desserts and the women connected to them, filling 80 pages with illustrations, food photography, vintage prints, and pop‑culture collages. Each dessert is paired with a song, and the zine includes a complimentary mix CD.
Ashley will be launching the zine and bringing select items from the cookbook, offering a chance to browse recipes, pick up the new issue, and shop a few treats from her kitchen.
